Falling Rocks, Bomb, Popcorn Bomb, Saith Storm, Rain Breath and Glen's Heave Ho! (Sore!) are kind of the bread and butter, but they're not too effective most of the time. Encounter rate's still pretty high, but the enemies are much stronger and much more plentiful. Lena's understandably upset at being in such a perilous position, and that they keep getting dragged into shit, but again, But Thou Must. Explaining that Barua mind controlled him, and that we have to chase after them, we are teleported into the depths of the Demon Castle D. Iason wants the kid more and more, and so we head to Glen's hut. The houses that weren't classrooms were destroyed, along with Dadis' classroom. Glen saves the kids from being burnt to death, thankfully and tells them to go to his cabin in the east to know more. We find the kid, Wing, at the fountain square and he torches the place. Him being kinda weak willed makes Lena not want to bother with him, But Thou Must and all. Meeting up with Nurse Emma, she explains that the student got up earlier and wandered off. Ralph in the Library mentions that a new student was found passed out at the coast and that he's been taken to the Infirmary at the School Tower. Which Blade, being Blade, understands as a heart of fire not being good enough to be a TRUE MASCULINE MAN. We get the Frozen Sword spell from Iason, as to be a REAL MAN you need the resolve of ice, not just a heart of fire. After explaining the failure of the recruitment mission to Iason-sensei, and with Blade being set on fire as punishment, Blade is given one more chance to recruit the kid. She winds up casting a spell on him to get him to join her in obtaining Iyen's power. ![]() Meanwhile at the beach, the kid is approached by noted weirdo Barua. Lena tries to be more polite, but the poor kid's submissiveness and indecisiveness pisses her off and he runs off, the poor guy. Blade is very brash on asking him to join the dojo, being someone who aspires to be a REAL MAN and all. ![]() We finally catch up to him at the fountain square in the center of Iyen. Ralph is aloof as usual, expecting some peace and quiet after Senia's departure. Kent has made a new flying machine, now equipped with an Airbag to lower the chance of possible fatality! It fails! Everyone saw this coming! Lena is knocked the fuck out!Īfter speaking to Iason-sensei again, we notice a green haired kid run off from the entrance. Miss Terena helps Lena with her tonedeaf-ness more, her bad singing being good as a weapon, prompting the teacher to praise her, which perplexes Blade. ![]() Dadis' Cosmetic Magic classroom has been fixed, he congratulates Senia and Azu on their marriage, though his senile self mistakes Lena for Senia and Blade for Azu. ![]() Forcing Blade to do so, and with Ellie and Lena helping him, the three go off to find him.Īs for the rest of the school, it's going alright. However a new student has been seen roaming about, and Iason-sensei would like him to join the dojo of REAL MEN because no one's bothered to join so far this year, most likely due to his extremely hard tests OF MANHOOD, which this year seems to be holding their breath for 5 minutes. The Ballad of Gay Tony will wait, though not for too long (and may supersede Sea of Stars if there are bugs to quash).Ĭhapter 8 starts pretty good, Senia went back to her village and Lena's kind of jealous about her getting married. In the meantime, I'll likely just play Exo One and finish up my Knuckles run of Sonic Mania. I feel this'll be a Day 1 purchase unless there's news otherwise to deter that (bad reviews, bugs, etc.). Sea of Stars, likely my last game purchase of the year because I need to pay off my credit cards from this trip I just took, is out next Monday. only has two runs of the game in Any% (sad.it's a really nice game, but I suspect the reason is that for the low turnout is the game is extremely linear). One quibble I had: Game gives off a hint that completing the main sidequest (rescuing the composers and then defeating the source of their nightmares (Logon Duck.that sounds like a big in-joke or something)) affects the final battle/ending. I think a lot of them were YouTube composers (which I know to be a thing, being involved in a couple scenes that integrate that to a degree), which probably explains why I didn't know them (because I hate social media/what it has done to people in this country and would fund any efforts to destroy it). Later composers I had to look up, feeling like they were a bit obscure to me. My comparison to Aquaria became more apt as the game went along, especially the plot revelation about the nature of the curse and the final armor.
